Be Able Partners,
We’re celebrating a milestone that has been years in the making. This month we officially opened our third transitional housing property at 522 Yuma, completing the full launch of our housing program. Alongside 514 and 518 Yuma, we can now provide safe, sober-living transitional housing for 24 men… the largest capacity of its kind in our community. Already, we’re watching men take steps forward in employment, recovery, responsibility, and long-term stability. These homes aren’t just beds; they’re places where lives start moving in a new direction.
One of the reasons this program exists (and why it works) is something we often call our “degree of difference.” At Be Able, we are ready when life happens. We don’t make people wait for appointments or navigate long processes when they’re in crisis. Because we’re locally funded and not constrained by federal red tape, we’re nimble. When someone walks through our doors ready for change, we can meet them right then… connecting them to housing, employment, treatment, or whatever the moment requires. This flexibility has allowed us to build a housing program that responds to real needs in real time.
As we open 522 Yuma, I want you to know that your generosity makes this possible. You are directly responsible for creating places where men can heal, rebuild, and thrive. Thank you for believing in this work, for seeing the value in meeting people where they are, and for walking alongside us as we continue building a community where hope has room to grow.
